On this episode, I sat down for a great conversation with Gerard Richardson of www.richardsonsofwhitehaven.co.uk of Whitehaven. It's surprising how interesting people can be when you take time to listen to what they have to say and what they have achieved in life. Gerard has led a very interesting life so far and we are able to hear about a small part of it in this podcast. From his love of local history, to his involvement in organising Whitehaven's annual festivals including organising the Queen and Prince Philip's visit. Gerard also takes us through the history of John Paul Jones and subsequently leading to instigating the mariners pardon for his crimes against the British, which all led to Gerard rubbing shoulders with dignitaries from both the US and Russia.
Also, Gerard gives us a glimpse into the time he has spent as a wine merchant, which is the primary point of his shop (along with the great coffee).
I hope you enjoy...
